Jeremy Menuhin

Jeremy Menuhin is widely regarded for his artistry and the integrity of his interpretations: ‘unfailingly lyrical, exemplary, exquisitely polished, yet directly expressive’ ( New York Times).

Jeremy has collaborated with many of the world’s foremost orchestras, such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic and the English Chamber Orchestra. He made his New York début as winner of the Young Concert Artists Competition in 1984, and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Yehudi Menuhin, Joshua Bell, Mstislav Rostropovich, Steven Isserlis, Gérard Caussé, Bruno Giuranna, and many internationally renowned quartets. He has recorded many works by Schubert, Mozart, Debussy, Beethoven, Dvorak, and most recently a disc of previously unrecorded works of Shostakovich with Alexander Rozhdestvensky and Mookie Menuhin. His recording of Bartok’s Sonatas for violin and piano with his father, Yehudi Menuhin, was awarded the prestigious ‘Grand Prix du Disque’. In recent years Jeremy Menuhin has rediscovered composing, a legacy of his years of study with Nadia Boulanger. Among many other works, he has written a suite for two pianos, a string quartet, a piano quartet, a double piano concerto, a cello concerto for cello in the baroque and two symphonies. This year will see the first performance of his double violin concerto, played by Oleg Kaskiv and his son Theo Kaskiv, with the string orchestra of the Étoiles du Classique.
