Terre Verte Gallery

Established in the moorland village of Altarnun in 2014, Terre Verte Gallery is a quiet cultural space and a meeting place for artists and writers in north Cornwall. The gallery shows five or six exhibitions each year, and has established a reputation for showcasing contemporary work by artists from near and far.

Exhibitions often feature themes of nature and the environment and are prompted by the rugged local landscape of coast and moorland, but the gallery has an open modern approach - the work on show may be abstract or conceptual as well as representational. Many of north Cornwall’s well known artists have exhibited here, sometimes alongside contemporaries from elsewhere in Britain and much further afield - the gallery has exhibited work from France, Ireland, California and New Zealand.

Altarnun is an enchanting peaceful village, yet less than 5 minutes off the A30. The rural location may feel remote but it hosts an award-winning coffee shop as well as this contemporary art gallery.
