Artist
Claire Ingleheart is a composer, musical director, multi-instrumentalist, choir director, workshop leader and associate lecturer at Falmouth University. She is passionate about the power of the voice, and is widely known for her ability to bring together communities through singing.
Claire has worked with Wild Works Theatre, Michael Sheen, The National Theatre, Nottingham Television Workshop and many community groups throughout the UK. She founded and directs the all-female shanty group Femmes de la Mer, with whom she has toured nationally, performing at Manchester O2 and Brixton Academy and featuring in the latest series of Rick Stein Cornwall.
Claire also leads two community choirs, The Ingleheart Singers and The Suitcase Singers. Both choirs specialize in songs from around the world and have a vast repertoire of both traditional and contemporary music, as well as a focus on emotional wellbeing and the power of coming together through song.
