Rory Wilton

Rory’s acting career started in 1992 after graduating from The Hub Theatre School. He was cast as Trystan in Bedlam Theatre Company’s touring production of Trystan and Yseult.

By the late 1990s he was an established actor within the southwest theatre industry and started branching out into film and television. He has appeared in a wide range of roles in both mainstream and independent productions but is best known to audiences for the roles of Richard Tonkin in Poldark, Chippy Miller in Doc Martin and one of the Fisherman’s Friends in both feature films; Fisherman’s Friends and Fisherman’s Friends: One and All. Rory is known to current theatre audiences as Tom Bawcock in the celebrated stage adaptation of Cousin Jack’s Theatre Company’s The Mousehole Cat (based on the much-loved book by Antonia Barber), which has played to sell-out audiences in Mousehole every December for the last ten years. Rory lives on the edge of Bodmin Moor with his partner Emma and Bella the cat.
